Waterfront is the gate of Seoul Metropolitan City. Magok Residential Complex is an international residential complex
that should be suggested as a model of sustainable residential complex, complying with the low-carbon green policies.
The purpose of this residential block design is not to compete with Magok Waterfront by building new individual
residential blocks. The residential blocks will be a theme type residential block that completes the whole Magok Zone
together with Magok Waterfront in the center. Therefore, the design begins from the full understanding of
characteristic of each block and hierarchy of 15 residential blocks and Magok Waterfront along the Han-gang River.
The residential blocks in the past were energy-consuming blocks. The current residential blocks are
energy-consumption-restricting blocks. The residential blocks we suggested now are energy-producing blocks that
link the water system and greenbelt system. It will be the model of future sustainable residential blocks that produce
energy in them.
