Daejeon Expo ’93 was an event that promoted the advancement of scientific techniques and showed the development
of Koera. Therefore, it was planned that the area could be developed where the symbolic meaning of scientific Korea
could be maintained as a famous place rather than a place for one time event. Science Park with an area of 628,102㎡
was built based on the slogan of Expo’93, ‘New Way to Leap’, and it plays a role as a center of the earth by locating
its plaza in between international exhibition and science park area. Amusement, management service facilities, parking
lot, and Lake Park were arranged at the outer ring of the park.
